This isn't what you are after, but the best Unix/Linux evening class I
spent was taking an installation CD and installing linux on my home
computer.  I spent several evenings being schooled until I got the hang
of things (I did have UNIX unleashed at my side, and I have heard that
O'Reilly's Running Linux is useful too).  Best part was I only had to
pay for books, no tuition charge.
