Subject: [lug] Linux Commands
For a listing of very basic Linux commands see
my Newbie columns at <http://lug.boulder.co.us/docs.html>. In particular,
check out article #4 <http://lug.boulder.co.us/docs/newbie04.html>.
One thing that is also useful is the ability to use the man command to
look for relevant keywords. Say you want to know how to delete files.
You can type:
man -k delete
and the system will give you a list of all commands related to the keyword
delete. Of course you will have to figure out which of these are relevant
to you particular situation, but at least it gives you a place to start.
I would also suggest you learn about the man command itself by typing:
Hope that helps.
