Just so you know that your offerings are not falling on deaf ears, every
time one of you makes a reference to a website with new user information
for Unix in general or Linux in particular, your e-mail gets dropped right
into my training folder, so that I can make use of the information you
provided in my training courses here at IBM Boulder.

For a listing of very basic Linux commands see
my Newbie columns at <http://lug.boulder.co.us/docs.html>. In particular,
check out article #4 <http://lug.boulder.co.us/docs/newbie04.html>.

One thing that is also useful is the ability to use the man command to
look for relevant keywords. Say you want to know how to delete files.
You can type:

    man -k delete

and the system will give you a list of all commands related to the keyword
delete. Of course you will have to figure out which of these are relevant
to you particular situation, but at least it gives you a place to start.

I would also suggest you learn about the man command itself by typing:

   man man

Hope that helps.
