Hard to say. Look on ebay, often you can find various laptop parts for
repairs there. I will say that recently I sold the T42p in question above,
with 1600x1200 display and, apparently marginal hard drive, for $400. So,
if you are finding motherboard prices close to or above that, maybe it's
not worth it.
Sometimes it pays to stay in bed on Monday, rather than spending the rest
of the week debugging Monday's code. -- Christopher Thompson
