I appreciate the reply. I have already started using it in the way you
describe. I now just upload the file to strava.com. The data is in a .fit
file. I found a website that allows a person to see the format of a .fit
but the person needs to download the SDK, which has a eula that appears to
me to be quite restrictive. I don't believe you would be able to open
source the code you create with it. I could be wrong. It kind of explains
the lack of open source software around this device. To say the least, I'm
disappointed. I would have liked to play with this data in a lot of
